If you're anything like us then you'll have a huge repairs pile waiting for... well... another day!
Come and join us to refresh and renew your clothes.
You will all be working on your own mending projects and Alys will be hand to help with any questions or ideas along the way. There will be lots of tips and lessons you can learn from each other's repair jobs as we go.
Repairs can take time so you might not get everything you had planned completed in one session, however, you can ask any questions to complete your projects at home or you can join us for the next repairs or social sewing session.
In Australia alone, more than 500,000 tonnes of textiles and leather end up in landfill each year. We definitely believe that our clothes and our planet deserve more than that!
We recommend that you already know how to thread and use a sewing machine unless you plan to stitch by hand, as there won't be time to teach you during this lesson. You can check out our Learn To Sew workshop or Contact Us to arrange a 1:1 beforehand.
- Sewing Machines
- Hand Needles
- Tools and Equipment
- Plenty of Hand Sanitizer and Wipes!
What you'll need to bring:
- Your Garments to Repair. It's always best to bring a few!
- Matching Threads (We do have a small selection here but if you want to be sure you have the perfect match then its best to BYO.)
If you'd like to register your interest for future dates or join the waitlist for sold-out workshops - please use the 'keep me posted' button above. If you have any questions you can contact us here.
