Alys
Hi! I’m Alys, a pattern maker who's worked for brands like Alexander McQueen, steventai and Teija.
My love for pattern making first developed at uni, combining my enjoyment of experimenting and problem-solving with art, sewing and creativity.
However, as life got busy, my personal sewing/creative practice was the first thing to fall away. Even though I knew how good it made me feel, it always felt like a luxury rather than a priority.
That’s why I’m on a mission to bring more creative play to our lives, teaching new skills and techniques, mixed with piles of inspiration to get you excited.
There’s nothing better than the buzz of bringing an idea to life and getting lost in the making. I’ve found that joining together as a community of makers is the best way to inspire and cheer each other on and prioritize the things we love. 💕

A series of videos hosted in our course hub, to make creative pattern making fun and easy to learn.
Lots of design inspiration to help you understand how to put the techniques into action and to get you excited about how you can use your new skills.
Try-it-yourself exercises so you can try out new techniques in either 1/2 scale or full scale. These will often be a mix of design, pattern making and sewing and you'll work your way up to build your confidence as you go.
A live community group to connect with others, get inspired and give you added accountability to get making.

You'll end the course with a new set of pattern making skills and confidence to get creative with your designs.
Choose your own adventure:
You can either practise your new skills in the try-it-yourself exercises and you’ll have an amazing set of samples to refer back to whenever you want to add flounces to your patterns.
Or you can take it to the next level and draft some fun designs to wear for yourself! 😍 Getting expert help along the way.
